​Dear Customer
Inflation continues to affect everyone throughout the country. It also has an impact on businesses as well as state and local governments. Everything from fuel costs to the things purchased at the store are rising. Macedonia-Eylau is no exception to these cost issues. Labor costs, material and equipment costs, and equipment repair expenses are increasing.
Macedonia-Eylau receives its water supply from Texarkana Water Utilities, and Texarkana Water has informed us that they will be increasing the rates for which they charge us. As a result, we have no choice but to increase rates to keep up with the rising prices. Therefore, we will increase rates beginning with the monthly bill that will be mailed out to customers on December 25, 2024, due in January.
Please see below for the breakdown of the new rates:
Residential Water Rates:
The minimum monthly charge for 0-2,000 gallons: $27.00
2,000 gallons to 5,000 gallons: $5.98/1,000
5,000 gallons to 10,000 gallons: $6.55/1,000
10,000 gallons to 20,000 gallons: $6.82/1,000
Over 20,000 gallons: $7.11/1,000

The minimum monthly charge for 0-2,000 gallons: $27.00

5,000 gallons to 10,000 gallons: $6.55/1,000
10,000 gallons to 20,000 gallons: $6..82/1,000

Sewer Only Rates:
Monthly service charge: $31.00
Commercial Water Rates:
The minimum monthly charge for 0-2,000 gallons: $35.00
2,000 gallons to 5,000 gallons: $5.98/1,000
5,000 gallons to 10,000 gallons: $6.55/1,000
10,000 gallons to 20,000 gallons: $6..82/1,000
Over 20,000 gallons: $7.11/1,000

2,000 gallons to 5,000 gallons: $5.98/1,000

New Customers

If you are moving to an existing residence in this area and need the water/sewer account transferred to your name we will need the following: Service Application, copy of lease agreement, copy of drivers license, and deposit. There is a $90.00 deposit at water only residences and a $10.00 connection fee.  $180.00 deposit at residences that have water and sewer plus a $10.00 connection fee.   Please call the Water Office at 903-832-1691 to determine which deposit will be owed.
